So you missed that awesome show we had a week or so ago where we opened for "Brown Sabbath" and you're violently kicking yourself. I hate it for you but at least you don't have to go through life with complete ambiguity. The Red and Black was there taking pictures and, because I know you want to be able to bear witness at least in some small form I am providing you with a link right here...

(If you're looking for video footage I know that some was taken but I haven't seen any out there yet so this will have to suffice til I can find some linkage to videos posted on the internet.) I just wanted to remind everyone about this amazing show that is coming up. Buy your tickets early and be prepared for an amazing night. Brown Sabbath is a project put together by a Latin Funk band from Austin known as Brownout. I've been listening to Brownout for a while now mainly because I was a fan of Grupo Fantasma which is another incarnation basically of Brownout. By the way this is a Grammy Award winning group and is also at times Prince's backing band. Yet another reason why you don't want to miss this show. I am extremely excited to be opening for them for many reasons. This will be Los Meesfits' first appearance on the GA Theatre main stage, as well as being my birthday! Also my family is making the drive up from Florida to be there. Here are is a link to the event page so you can check out details and buy tickets: https://www.facebook.com/events/320663444779755/?ref_newsfeed_story_ And here is a video for a Brown Sabbath Song: October 24th at the Georgia Theatre, (on the main stage) Los Meesfits will be opening for a Black Sabbath cover band called Brown Sabbath. Brown Sabbath is actually a band called Brownout which consists of mostly members of, Austin Texas based, Grupo Fantasma. Brown Sabbath plays Black Sabbath songs with a latino flair (Santana style latin jazz rock). It's the perfect lineup in my opinion and I'm extremely excited to be sharing the stage with these incredible musicians. Also on a side note, it's my birthday!
Give Brown Sabbath a listen on their band camp or sound cloud thing: http://brownout.bandcamp.com/album/brownout-presents-brown-sabbath https://m.soundcloud.com/ubiquityrecords/brown-sabbath We are featured on Volume II as well! I loved volume I and I am super excited to listen to this today. I just downloaded it and I'm about to start working and listening now. It might be rainy and nasty outside but thanks to "The Novel Sound" its gonna be a great day. I highly recommend giving it a listen and while you're at it check out more podcasts from the Garage Punk Hideout.
follow the links: http://www.thenovelsound.com/misfits-monday-misfits-cover-collection-part-ii/ http://www.garagepunk.com/ I've been listening to Garage Punk Pirate Radio podcasts for years now. When I saw that Erik Carlson from Bibliodiscoteque was doing a two part Misfits cover podcast I was pretty excited. When I learned that he featured one of our songs it was like a dream come true. I've listened to it several times by now. I highly recommend giving it a go, especially if you're a Misfits fan. While you're at it check out some of their other podcasts. I listen to some of them over and over again. They never get old. click on the link below: http://www.garagepunk.com/blogs/4217/5856/bibliodiscoteque-spook-city-usa |
